Before you read this, get your diary out, find a pen and write this event in it, IN CAPITALS, because this Bleep 43 @ Corsica Studios event is going to be SICK!

 

If you’re a member of Fabric you should have received and listened to Omar S Fabric 45, if you haven’t go out and get it. This man is a modern day Detroit maverick, despite his arrogance, he is impeccably good at producing music, putting his own unique flourish on Detroit’s legendary techno heritage. He also works full time for Ford Motor Company in Detroit, runs his own record label ‘FXHE Records’ from his basement, has a kid, is an adamant speed racer, and is Theo Parish’s favourite sound engineer. Believe me check out his sounds.

 

Making his debut Bleep 43 welcomes Italian stallion Dj Donny Dozzy. I hadn’t heard of this guy at all, but after a millisecond of listening to ‘United Elements’ on his “Skariofen EP” I was hooked. Donato Dozzy is an after-hours minimal techno dj, the guy who’s got to play to party people who’ve been up all night and won’t give up easily, his music is hypnotic, deep, and trance-induced. It’s an instantly identifiable sound: one part rotating trance, one part deep, echoing minimal, but different from either in effect: more dance floor-oriented than the sparser end of minimal, and more carefully produced than trance proper.

 

Donato was resident at Panoramabar, the refitted power station that pretty much defines Berlin after-hours clubbing, playing 6-7 hour sets. He now has his own Dozzy Records night at the Panoramabar, but his labels Dj’s now rip it up.

 

Omar S and Donato will each play a 4-hour set for all you party people, so go get a ticket!
